Cynthia Lee Fontaine

Cynthia Lee Fontaine, born Carlos Diaz in Puerto Rico, is a versatile artist celebrated for her success on RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she earned Miss Congeniality in Season 8 and returned as a fan favorite for Season 9. A trained opera singer, Cynthia released notable singles like “Pegajosa” in 2018 and “Tonight” in 2023. Starting as a performer on local TV at nineteen, she quickly rose in the drag scene, winning titles like Miss Mardi Gras PR 2007 and Miss Acquamares 2008. Moving to Texas in 2008, she dominated pageants, winning Miss Austin Sweetheart 2012 and Miss Texas Continental 2012. Beyond her drag persona, Cynthia has dedicated over two decades to community service and fundraising, notably aiding Hurricane Maria victims and volunteering for the Austin CARE Program. Selected to represent her community at LGBTQI+ Puerto Rican Pride in Chicago, she serves as a National Drag Ambassador for Drag Out The Vote. In 2023, she toured as an opener for the Danish band AQUA during their Texas performances for their U.S. tour.
